Amman: An agreement has been signed to provide Jordanian consular services outside the Kingdom. The Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Majed Qatarneh, and the Director General of the Jordan Post Company (JPC), Hanadi Tayeb, formalized the deal on Thursday.
According to Jordan News Agency, the signing ceremony was attended by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Nancy Nimrouqa, and the Chairman of the JPC Board of Directors, Sami Daoud. The agreement aims to streamline consular service procedures such as passport authentication, receipt and delivery, and official document authentication for Jordanian citizens and service seekers at the Kingdom’s embassies and diplomatic missions abroad.
A joint statement highlighted that the initiative is designed to “save citizens’ time and effort and ensure provision of the best services.” Initially, the services will be rolled out in the United States, Canada, and Saudi Arabia. The possibility of expanding the scope of services globally will be considered in the second phase.
