PM Briefs Irada and National Islamic Bloc on Government Program

Amman: Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan met Monday at the Parliament building with the head and members of Irada and Islamic National Bloc, the latest in a series of meetings with political parties. He reiterated the government’s keenness on continuing dialogue with various parties across the political spectrum in a true partnership in line with the political modernization scheme, which promotes partisan life.

According to Jordan News Agency, the Prime Minister outlined the government’s plans in the economic, political, and administrative fields, noting that the focus during the coming period will be on forging ahead with key investment and strategic projects to stimulate growth and job creation.

The meeting emphasized Jordan’s firm position, led by His Majesty King Abdullah II, on the Palestinian cause, rejecting displacement, resettlement, or alternative homeland proposals, and continuing efforts towards a comprehensive political solution based on the two-state solution that restores the full legitimate rights of the Palestinians on their national soil.

Head of the bloc, MP Khamis Attia, said the government’s openness with the parliamentary blocs is “a responsible approach and true national partnership” to achieve the supreme interest. Attia stressed that close cooperation between the executive and legislative bodies is key to achieving His Majesty the King’s vision to advance the country and push comprehensive political, economic, or administrative modernization forward.
