Amman: House Speaker Ahmed Safadi met with ambassadors of Tunisia and Trkiye, reaffirming Jordan’s steadfast position in rejecting displacement and advocating for establishing a Palestinian state on Palestinian territory. During the meeting, Safadi emphasized the importance of coordination between His Majesty King Abdullah II and both Tunisian and Turkish leaders.
According to Jordan News Agency, during a meeting with Tunisian Ambassador Mufida Zribi, Safadi highlighted the strong ties between Jordan and Tunisia and the shared stances on key issues, particularly the dangers facing the Palestinian cause. He reiterated Jordan’s clear position against any proposals to relocate Palestinians from Gaza to Jordan and Egypt, stating, “We will not accept any solution at the expense of Jordan.”
Safadi also expressed appreciation for Tunisia’s firm stance against the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza and called for enhanced cooperation with the Tunisian House of Representatives to unify efforts supporting both nations’ shared interests. Ambassador Zribi affirmed Tunisia’s rejection of displacement calls and expressed support for Jordan and King Abdullah II’s position.
In a separate meeting with Turkish Ambassador Yakub Cayamazoglu, Safadi reiterated Jordan’s unwavering stance against displacement and emphasized the importance of entrenching this position in Gaza. He noted the close relationship between King Abdullah II and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, highlighting the critical need for continued coordination on the Palestinian issue.
Cayamazoglu reaffirmed Trkiye’s support for the Palestinian cause and its rejection of displacement proposals. He called for strengthening parliamentary coordination between Jordan and Trkiye to benefit both peoples and countries.
