Palestinian Killed in Gaza Despite Ceasefire

Gaza: A Palestinian was killed by Israeli army fire in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip on Tuesday despite a ceasefire, according to the Gaza Health Ministry. The ministry also reported that eleven bodies and 10 people wounded by Israeli forces arrived at hospitals across the Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours.

According to Jordan News Agency, the recent casualties included 8 bodies that were recovered from the rubble of buildings targeted by Israeli bombing before the ceasefire took effect, and 3 newly killed individuals. The agency added that many victims remain trapped under the rubble or on the roads, beyond the immediate reach of ambulance and civil defense crews.

The latest figures from the incident have escalated the death toll from the ongoing Israeli conflict to 48,219, with the number of injured rising to 111,665. The Gaza Health Ministry’s update highlights the continued impact of the conflict on the region’s population, even amidst efforts to establish a ceasefire.
