AMMAN: The General Trade Union of Worker in Private Education, in cooperation with the International Labor Organization (ILO), recently conducted a workshop for employees and liaison officers in Jordan’s private education directorates. The event aimed to train participants on the Unified Work Contract Platform, designed for use by employees in private schools and kindergartens across the country.
According to Jordan News Agency, the workshop was attended by approximately 60 employees from various private education directorates throughout Jordan’s governorates. The training focused on introducing participants to essential features of the e-service, including the registration mechanism, accounting procedures, contract management, reports, and other services and benefits.
Union Chairman Khaled Fanatseh emphasized the critical role of the Ministry of Education in ensuring the project’s success. The project aims to automate work contracts for workers in Jordan’s private schools, in collaboration with private edu
cation directorates nationwide. Fanatseh acknowledged the ministry’s collaboration and the support provided by the ILO in organizing the workshop, which equipped employees with necessary skills to utilize the platform effectively and register workers’ contracts.
The union previously announced that the current e-contract is the “exclusive” version, which has been approved by the Ministry of Labor for the academic year 2024/2025. Furthermore, the union noted that the e-contract is distributed by the Ministry of Education to private schools and is issued exclusively through the platform (https://gtupe.org).
