Labor Ministry Teams Intensify Inspection Efforts in Mafraq, Issuing 167 Citations

Amman: Inspection teams from the Ministry of Labor have conducted 1,687 field visits across Mafraq Governorate since the beginning of the year, issuing 167 citations to non-compliant businesses and serving 430 warnings, official figures showed on Wednesday.

According to Jordan News Agency, Ministry of Labor spokesperson Mohammad Al-Zyoud revealed that the Mafraq Labor Directorate has received 77 labor complaints so far this year. These complaints encompass issues such as unpaid wages, employment suspensions, overtime disputes, and leave entitlements.

Al-Zyoud emphasized that all grievances were reviewed and handled in accordance with established legal procedures to ensure fair outcomes for both employers and workers. The ministry utilizes its "Hemayeh" (Protection) platform to receive complaints electronically. Each case is evaluated before officials engage with both parties to attempt an amicable settlement. If a settlement cannot be reached, the necessary legal measures are taken.
