Jordan Denounces Assault on UNIFIL Forces in Lebanon.

Amman: The Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates has condemned the recent attack on the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) in the Sidon region of southern Lebanon, which resulted in injuries to several Malaysian soldiers serving as peacekeepers.

According to Jordan News Agency, Ambassador Sufian Qudah, the official spokesperson for the ministry, stressed the critical need to ensure the safety of UN forces and their personnel. He highlighted the necessity of fully implementing Security Council Resolution 1701, which calls for an immediate cessation of Israeli aggression against Lebanon and aims to protect the region from escalating into a broader conflict.

Ambassador Qudah expressed the Kingdom’s condolences and steadfast support for the Malaysian government and its citizens, offering wishes for the injured soldiers’ swift recovery.
