The Government Tenders Department on Tuesday referred a JD4.400 million tender for public school maintenance.
The tender for public school maintenance involves 42 directorates in the Ministry of Education, which consists of 8 packages worth JD4.400 million for public school maintenance across the Kingdom, as the framework agreement is a more efficient approach in managing the maintenance of public schools, Director-General of the Government Tenders Department, Mahmoud Khalifat, said in a statement.
Khalifat explained that efficient resource allocation and prioritization of urgent and high-impact maintenance tasks are ensured by having standardized procedures to ensure consistent and high-quality execution of maintenance tasks, reduce variance, and improve overall results.
Efficient resource allocation using the framework agreement ensures that financial and physical resources are allocated based on data-driven assessments of maintenance needs, and schools with higher needs or critical issues can be priorit
ized, ensuring that the most pressing issues are addressed first, Khalifat added.
He pointed out that the Government Tenders Department referred the first tender for the implementation of maintenance for public schools according to the framework agreement worth JD1.346 million in 4 directorates of the Ministry of Education, and that the pilot phase of the framework agreement was successfully completed, and key lessons learned and feedback were obtained from the relevant stakeholders about this pilot phase, adding that this type of contract will be applied to the maintenance of health sector facilities later.
He underlined that Jordan is one of the first countries in the Arab world to use framework agreements in the procurement of minor works, as the use of this type of agreement is considered a turning point from the standard procurement procedures that take time due to the repetition of the same procedures for several procurements.

ic visions in all sectors, especially the education sector, which is a key pillar for building Jordan’s future and achieving sustainable development, boosting the national economy and reducing unemployment.
