Silver, Bronze Medals Mark Start of Saudi Arabia’s Cycling Journey in 2024 Asian Track Championship

The Saudi Arabian cycling team has won two medals, one silver and one bronze, at the start of its journey in the 2024 Asian Track Cycling Championships, hosted by the Thai city of Suphan Buri until August 30, with the participation of more than 160 male and female athletes.

The Saudi team won the silver medal through champion Abdullah Al-Issa in the individual pursuit race, with a time of 3:32:887 minutes. South Korea’s Eun Ji Kim claimed the gold in the race with a time of 3:32:219 minutes, while Thailand’s Pong Paul won the bronze with a time of 3:38:519 minutes. Saudi cyclist Mohammed Mujrashi earned a bronze medal in the 10 km scratch race, where Indonesia’s Arkana Ghali Hafiz won the gold and Kazakhstan’s Kirill Yefimov won the silver.

Today, Saudi cyclists will continue competing in the Asian event through the women’s omnium races, team sprint events for youth and women, the kilometer race for youth and adults, the 500-meter race for women, the points race for adults, and the individual sprint race
for women.
