The Tourism Development Fund (TDF) recently held the closing ceremony for the first batch of graduates from the Grow Tourism Accelerator program, which aims to drive tourism innovation, equip startups with resources, and facilitate funding and partnerships.
The event was attended by several investors, entrepreneurs, and individuals interested in tourism investment.
Prince Saud bin Mohammed, CEO of TDF Grow, emphasized that such programs are essential for promoting innovation and sustainable development in the Kingdom’s tourism sector. He expressed pride in the achievements of the participating startups, noting that the program reflects TDF’s commitment to supporting pioneering ideas and promising projects that contribute to achieving the National Tourism Strategy and enhancing the Kingdom’s status as a global tourist destination.
The ceremony also featured a review of the program’s achievements over several months. Participating startups engaged in over 20 training and mentorship sessions, with a total
of 15 projects involved-11 of which were local, and four were regional and international. The empowerment of these projects has significantly enriched the tourism sector in the Kingdom. To date, the startups have succeeded in securing investments totaling more than SAR 18 million.
