Meanwhile, Al-Raya newspaper highlighted the State of Qatar’s tangible humanitarian contributions across the globe.

The editorial stated that Qatar has consistently been at the forefront of providing humanitarian and developmental aid both bilaterally and through the United Nations, particularly to developing countries facing crises and natural disasters. This aid is facilitated through the Qatar Fund for Development and the Department of International Development of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

It added that by working with international organizations and partner countries, Qatar is committed to a rapid response to humanitarian emergencies. This approach is a core element of Qatar’s policy, reflecting its leadership in humanitarian aid and numerous initiatives and efforts in this field, driven by its moral responsibilities and commitments.

The editorial also noted that Qatar aims to effectively collaborate with multilateral agencies, the private sector, and civil society organizations to tackle global
challenges and respond to humanitarian crises, adding that Qatar continually provides humanitarian and developmental assistance both bilaterally and multilaterally through the United Nations around the world.

In turn, the Peninsula newspaper said that Qatar through Qatar Fund for Development is not only providing continuous support to Palestinians who are struggling for even basic needs of life due to barbaric Israeli attacks but also helping different humanitarian projects around the globe.

In its editorial, the newspaper pointed out that Qatar, through the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD), has now contributed $25m to UNRWA to support Palestinian Refugees and the agencys human development and humanitarian activities in the region.

On Thursday, a new shipment of Qatari aid, including 55 tonnes of tents and health supplies, provided by the Qatar Fund for Development, arrived in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan by land, in preparation for its entry into the Gaza Strip in cooperation with the Jordanian Hashem
ite Charity Organization, the newspaper said.

It added that in May this year, the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) signed two agreements to bolster the global role of OCHA in addressing human needs. The first agreement entails providing an unearmarked multi-year primary funding amounting to $16m. The second agreement involves QFFDs commitment to supporting the Complex Emergency Response Fund (CERF) with a total sum of $1m over one year, 2024.

The newspaper concluded its editorial by explaining that this funding is designated to enhance the capacity of humanitarian responders, ensuring the delivery of life-saving assistance in response to crises wherever and whenever they occur.
