In its weekly meeting today, Monday, headed by the Council's President, Judge Ahmed Yahya Al-Mutawakkil, the Supreme Judicial Council approved the transfer of a number of judges to work in some courts of first instance and appeal based on the nomination of the Judicial Inspection Authority head. The Council also approved the transfer of a number of members of the Public Prosecution to work in some first-instance and appellate prosecution offices, based on the nomination of the Public Prosecutor. The Judicial Council decided to lift the judicial immunity of one of the judges in accordance with the law, as well as to impose the appropriate punishment in accordance with the law against a member of the prosecution due to his committing violations in his judicial position. It agreed to file a disciplinary case against one of the judges and refer him to the Accounting Council, based on the request submitted by the Judicial Inspection Authority. The Council reviewed some requests referred by the Office of the Pr esidency of the Republic regarding reconsideration of some judicial rulings issued against a number of complainants, and took appropriate decisions regarding them in accordance with the law.
