48 UNRWA Installations Damaged in Gaza Strip

Gaza, The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) said that 48 of its installations in the Gaza Strip have been damaged since the outbreak of the war.

Nearly 1.5 million people have been displaced across the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, nearly half of them are sheltering in UNRWA installations, the UN agency said.

UNRWA says that its shelters have become increasingly crowded, and that its facilities in the south of the Gaza Strip are no longer able to accommodate new displaced persons, adding that many of the displaced are sleeping in the streets near UNRWA facilities.
