Agriculture Minister Discusses Support with Irbid Farmers and Cattle Breeders

Irbid: Minister of Agriculture Khaled Hneifat met on Sunday with a number of field crop farmers and cattle breeders in the northern governorate of Irbid to discuss key challenges facing the agricultural sector.

According to Jordan News Agency, during the meeting, which was attended by MP Eyad Jibril, Hneifat reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to addressing the concerns raised by farmers and working to resolve them in a manner that supports the sector’s development.

He also proposed the establishment of a dedicated cooperative association for cattle breeders in Irbid. Hneifat emphasized that the ministry would provide the necessary support to empower breeders and enhance the incomes of productive families in the area.

Additionally, the minister reviewed the current state of field crops and pledged to follow up on farmers’ feedback to ensure appropriate and effective services.

Jordan Condemns Attacks on Displacement Camps in Sudan’s El Fasher

Amman: The Ministry of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs on Saturday strongly condemned the attacks targeting displacement camps in El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur state in western Sudan, which left dozens of civilians dead or injured, including aid workers.

According to Jordan News Agency, Ministry spokesperson Sufyan Qudah expressed the Kingdom’s solidarity with the government and people of Sudan during this painful time, emphasizing Jordan’s support for efforts aimed at resolving the Sudanese crisis in a way that ensures the country’s security, stability, sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens.

Qudah also extended Jordan’s deepest condolences to the Sudanese government and people, as well as to the families of the victims, wishing a swift recovery to the injured.
