Zoubi lauds Jordan’s participation in Baghdad International Book Fair 2021

Jordan’s ambassador to Baghdad, Muntaser Zoubi, lauded the “active” participation of Jordanian publishing houses in Baghdad International Book Fair 2021, which saw a high turnout flocking its venues.

Zoubi, in a statement to “Petra” on Thursday, said participation of a “large” number of Jordanian publishing houses in the fair reflects Jordan’s strategy, led by His Majesty King Abdullah II, in casting light on Jordan’s culture in Iraq.

Jordan and Iraq have common “deep-rooted” cultural ties, which reflect the two sides’ desire to strengthen relations to serve their two brotherly peoples’ interests, according to Zoubi.

For his part, head of Jordanian Publishers Association (JPA), Jabr Abu Fares, said about 25 Jordanian publishing houses took part in the event, which is the largest participation compared to previous editions.

Abu Fares lauded the fair’s diverse pavilions, its “distinguished” level of organization, “wide” participation from Arab and foreign publishing houses.
