Youth Minister, Irish Minister talk joint cooperation

Minister of Youth, Mohammad Nabulsi, on Wednesday met with Minister of State at the Department of Justice with special responsibility for Law Reform and Youth Justice, James Browne, on aspects of cooperation between the two countries and ways to enhance them. Attended by Ambassador of Ireland to Jordan, Marianne Bolger, the meeting covered relations between the two countries, and highlighted the Jordanian youth experience. Nabulsi said that youth empowering and advancement is a national priority that the Ministry reflects through the National Youth Strategy and its executive plan, including themes concerned with political, economic, social, health and cultural empowerment, which is accompanied by a plan to activate youth centers, develop their programs, empower workers with them and prepare the infrastructure. He said that the Ministry is working on promoting the culture of volunteering and launching the Al-Hussein Bin Abdullah II Award for Voluntary Work. He also highlighted programs and projects implemented by the Ministry, such as the Youth and Security Program, the Political Institute, innovation and creativity incubator programs, and entrepreneurship forums in the Ministry of Youth on Wednesday, accompanied by the Irish delegation. The Irish minister, in turn, lauded the historic ties with Jordan and its role in the region, highlighting the Irish youth experience. He expressed hope to enhance bilateral youth cooperation and youth and cultural exchange programs between Jordan and Ireland. The meeting also discussed the support that Ireland will provide to implement youth activities in Jordan.
