Youth Minister Attends 6th Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh

Riyadh: Minister of Youth, Dr. Raed Adwan, attended the opening ceremony of the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games 2025 in Riyadh, where member states of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Association (ISSA) participated.

According to Jordan News Agency, Dr. Adwan was officially invited to the event by Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, the Saudi Minister of Sports and ISSA president. During the ceremony, Adwan emphasized the significance of the Games in fostering collaboration through sports, highlighting their role in promoting positive values such as brotherhood, cooperation, competition, and peace.

Adwan expressed appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s efforts in organizing the Games, reinforcing the Kingdom’s commitment to sports. On the sidelines, he engaged in discussions with several Arab youth and sports ministers, including those from Egypt, Syria, Yemen, Algeria, Tunisia, Nigeria, and Chad, to explore avenues for joint youth cooperation.

Additionally, Adwan met with the Jordanian delegation, consisting of 39 athletes competing in various sports, wishing them success in the competitions. He remarked that the Games offer a key opportunity to strengthen Islamic solidarity and enhance sports cooperation among the participating nations.
