Youth Minister and USAID Official Explore Enhanced Youth Cooperation.

Amman: Minister of Youth Yazan Shdaifat and Shannon Stone, Director of the Education and Youth Office at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), recently convened to discuss strategies for enhancing cooperation in youth programs. The meeting, held at the Ministry of Youth’s headquarters, focused on reviewing ongoing initiatives aimed at empowering and developing youth skills in alignment with the ministry’s strategic objectives.

According to Jordan News Agency, the Ministry of Youth issued a statement on Wednesday detailing the priorities underscored by Shdaifat during the meeting. These include implementing the directives from the government’s high-level letter of assignment and the royal speech at the opening of the National Assembly’s regular session. Key areas of focus are equipping youth with skills for future job markets, activating youth and entrepreneurship centers, and expanding youth and sports facilities.

Shannon Stone highlighted USAID’s dedication to supporting the youth
sector through the Education and Youth Office. She emphasized the agency’s focus on implementing qualitative programs and projects tailored to meet the needs and aspirations of young people in Jordan. Stone also expressed optimism about strengthening the partnership with the ministry to expand joint youth projects, which would enable Jordanian youth to make meaningful contributions to their communities’ development.
