Young man drowns in King Abdullah Canal

A 27-year old man on Sunday died after he drowned at the King Abdullah Canal in the Northern Shuneh District.

Director of Abu Ubaidah ibn al-Jarrah Hospital, Dr. Muayyad Al-Shakour, told Petra that the youth, who was admitted to the hospital late Saturday and was in a serious condition, died today of his injuries, noting that the body was transferred to the northern region’s forensic center.

“An investigation is underway into the incident,” a security source at the west Irbid police directorate said.
