Irbid: A research team from the Faculty of Medicine at Yarmouk University has been awarded the “Most Cited Research of 2023” certificate by U.S.-based publisher Wiley in recognition of their study published in the prestigious journal IUBMB Life.
According to Jordan News Agency, the team includes Ramada Khassawneh, Ejlal Abu Rubb, Fatima Mahasneh, Ayman Zoubi, researcher Rawan Mazari, and medical students Huthaifa Maqableh, Mohammad Mazari, Haitham Shboul, and Ahmad Sanajleh. Their research explored the impact of high-glucose environments on mesenchymal stem cells, contributing to a deeper understanding of stem cell properties and enhancing their potential use in treating various diseases, most notably, diabetes.
IUBMB Life is among the leading scientific journals in biochemistry, genetics, and molecular biology and is published under the auspices of the International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
