Amman:Yarmouk University: Yarmouk University has inaugurated the Digital Skills for a Better Future incubator, in partnership with DOT Jordan and UNICEF, aiming to enhance the digital competencies of students and young people to better prepare them for the job market.
According to Jordan News Agency, the incubator was opened under the patronage of University Rector Malek Alsharairi. The initiative is part of the university's strategy to foster an educational and training environment that promotes creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship among the youth.
Muwaffaq Ayyad, Director of Yarmouk University's Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center, highlighted that the incubator offers specialized training programs managed by DOT. These programs cover areas such as Python programming, web development, graphic design, digital marketing, and e-commerce. He noted that the programs are also accessible to the local community.
Ayyad emphasized that the initiative leverages the academic expertise of the university, the practical field experience of DOT Jordan, and the developmental support of UNICEF.
DOT Jordan Country Director Hamza Shraideh stated that DOT has already trained 290 individuals through its programs and underscored the importance of ongoing collaboration with Yarmouk University. He reaffirmed DOT's commitment to supporting students and other beneficiaries by equipping them with the necessary skills to enter the labor market and capitalize on available opportunities.
