Weather Forecast for Friday

According to the National Center for Meteorology, parts of the Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, and Makkah regions can expect moderate to heavy thunderstorms today. These thunderstorms may lead to flash floods and will likely be accompanied by hail and strong winds, causing dust storms. The impact of these storms may extend to the southern parts of the Madinah Region.

Over the Red Sea, winds will be northwesterly to southwesterly at 20-40 km/h, potentially reaching over 50 km/h in thunderstorm areas. Wave heights are expected to range from 1 to 2 meters, increasing to over 2.5 meters during thunderstorms. The sea state will generally be moderate but could become rough in the south due to the storms.

Meanwhile, the Arabian Gulf will be northwesterly to northeasterly winds at 15-30 km/h. Wave heights will remain between 0.5 and 1 meter, and the sea will be relatively calm.
