Amman: The Vocational Training Corporation (VTC) has inaugurated the Technical Committee for the "Partnerships for Development: Vocational Training and Labor Migration" project, aiming to enhance vocational training and labor migration while aligning training programs with labor market requirements.
According to Jordan News Agency, the newly formed committee commenced its activities under the leadership of VTC Director General Raafat Sawafine, with representatives from both national and international partner organizations in attendance. The project is being executed by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, in collaboration with the Ministry of Labor and the VTC.
The committee comprises members from various entities, including the Ministry of Labor, VTC, the German Embassy, GIZ, the Jordan Chamber of Industry, the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission, the Goethe-Institut Jordan, and the German Jordanian University. During its initial meeting, participants examined the project's implementation plan and key activities planned for 2026-2028, emphasizing strategies to institutionalize project activities and ensure the sustainability of outcomes beyond its duration.
Additionally, the committee deliberated on coordination mechanisms with partner institutions, as well as the subsequent steps necessary for effective execution and enhanced collaboration between national and international efforts. Participants underscored the necessity for ongoing cooperation, clear implementation frameworks, and consistent progress monitoring to amplify the project's impact and guarantee the sustainability of its results.
These initiatives are anticipated to contribute to the advancement of Jordan's vocational training system, aligning it more closely with labor market demands and evolving trends in vocational training and labor migration.
