Vigils showed solidarity with Nigerian people and their right to self-determination in capital’s secretariat

The directorates of the capital's secretariat witnessed, after Friday prayers, vigils in solidarity with Nigerian people, their right to self-determination and liberation from colonial tutelage, under the slogan "Supporting Niger is a religious duty."

vigils' participants , in the presence of local and executive leaders, sheikhs, social figures and citizens, affirmed the Yemeni people's stand and support for the Muslim people of Niger, who are facing the arrogance of French colonialism, which deprived people of their wealth and confiscated their rights.

They strongly condemned the interference of France and the foreign forces tutelage and their insistence on breaking the will of the Nigerian people and undermining their freedom, dignity and independence.

A statement issued by the Waqf affirmed the full solidarity of the Yemeni people with the Muslim people of Niger, calling on the Arab and Islamic peoples and governments to assume their responsibility in supporting the Nigerian people and to take strong positions towards France.

The statement urged the commemoration of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him , his family, in honor and support of the Messenger of God.

It stressed that a sincere return to God and his Messenger is the only way to achieve the nation’s pride, dignity, freedom and independence.

The statement affirmed its blessing and support for what was stated in President of the Supreme Political Council's speech and warning the foolish followers of the American and foreign embassies of the consequences of their satanic plots... pointing out that the Yemeni people will not remain silent and are capable of taking away their rights.
