VentureX launches tourism accelerator program

VentureX, an accelerator of SMEs and startups and an Entrepreneurship Advocate, has inaugurated the “Siyaha” accelerator as part of its program in Jordan.

The company said in a statement on Tuesday that Siyaha (tourism) accelerator was launched in cooperation with the Jordan Tourism Board (JTB), which signed the deal last summer to support SMEs in tourism. The accelerator is part of a broader project called Accelerate Jordan, which is managing a group of industry-based accelerators.

A few months ago, VentureX also launched the “Accelerate Saudi” program in cooperation with the Saudi General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (Monshaat). The accelerator has previously supported two Jordanian companies in the tourism field.

Yousef Hamidaddin, the Managing Partner at VentureX, said the Siyaha accelerator will be interested in enterprises offering future solutions for the sector, and will focus on innovative ideas that help achieve productivity gains and improve the experiences of tourists and visitors.

Deyana Abououbeid, Accelerator Unit Manager at VentureX, said the 3-to-6-month acceleration program will train SMEs on the strategies and plans of marketing, financial prediction, investment, action plans and presentations.

She said the program allows companies to showcase their projects on its show day and graduate startups will be announced at the end of the program, calling on Jordanian entrepreneurs to register via the link: https://bit.ly/3G7mDMu.
