El arish: The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced on Saturday that it has sufficient food supplies in Egypt to sustain Gaza for over three months. However, these supplies are currently waiting to cross into the blockaded Gaza Strip.
According to Jordan News Agency, the food supplies are stored in warehouses located in the Egyptian town of El Arish. The logistics necessary to transport these supplies into Gaza are already in place. UNRWA has reiterated its call for the opening of crossings and the lifting of the blockade to facilitate this process.
The agency has expressed its full readiness to fulfill its humanitarian role in delivering aid to the people of Gaza, which includes about one million children. UNRWA emphasized the urgency of the situation and the need for immediate action to ensure that the aid reaches those in need.
