University of Jordan Advances 84 Places Globally in Webometrics Ranking

Amman: University of Jordan (UJ) announced progress in its ranking performance in the January 2026 Edition of the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities, climbing 84 places globally.

According to Jordan News Agency, the university ranked 5th at the Arab level and topped the national level as the best university in the Kingdom. Featuring 32,147 universities worldwide in this edition, the achievement reflects UJ's position among Arab and international counterparts.

This progress reflects the university's efforts to enhance the quality of scientific output, raise the level of research impact, and develop its digital presence and research transparency. The statement said these axes are key indicators used by the Webometrics Ranking to evaluate universities globally.

The university affirmed its commitment to its strategic vision aimed at enhancing its global competitiveness and improving its ranking in prestigious world institutions through continuous investment in scientific research, innovation, and high-quality education.
