UN Warns Against Actions That Could Reignite Yemen War

Amman: The UN Special Envoy for Yemen, Hans Grundberg, said Monday that he is monitoring developments affecting Yemen's airspace and airports, expressing "deep concern" about the risk of a broader escalation. Grundberg said his office is monitoring the situation and is in intensive talks with military representatives from all sides to prevent a new cycle of conflict.

According to Jordan News Agency, Grundberg called on the parties to engage in UN-mediated dialogue and negotiations to preserve the "relative calm" that has held Yemen since 2022 and make progress toward a sustainable resolution to the conflict.
