UN Security Council Condemns Iranian Attacks on Jordan and GCC States

Amman: The United Nations Security Council: The United Nations Security Council on Wednesday adopted a resolution condemning Iranian missile and drone attacks on Jordan and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.

According to Jordan News Agency, the resolution calls on Iran to halt its attacks and was supported by 13 council members. However, China and Russia chose to abstain from voting, highlighting a divide within the council on this issue.

The resolution's adoption underscores the growing international concern over regional stability and the actions attributed to Iran. The Security Council's decision aims to send a strong message to Tehran, urging it to comply with international norms and maintain peace in the region.
