UN Calls for Urgent Global Intervention to Avert Crisis in Gaza

Gaza: The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) issued a stark warning on Saturday about the growing risk of famine in Gaza, calling for international intervention to prevent further loss of life.

According to Jordan News Agency, OCHA released a statement highlighting the dire situation, emphasizing that the impending famine is “man-made and the result of systematic obstruction, indifference and delays.” The agency urged for an immediate ceasefire, the complete opening of border crossings, and unrestricted humanitarian access to the besieged territory.

“This is not just a headline. These are real lives at risk,” the statement added, stressing the urgent need for action. The call to action underscores the severity of the humanitarian crisis and the necessity for a coordinated international response to save lives and stabilize the region.
