UAE Embassy Hosts Union Day Celebration and Marks Golden Jubilee of Diplomatic Ties with Jordan.

Amman: The UAE Embassy in Amman hosted a reception on Monday evening to celebrate the 53rd Union Day of the United Arab Emirates and the golden jubilee of diplomatic relations with Jordan. The event was attended by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Nancy Namrouqa, Lower House Speaker Ahmad Safadi, along with numerous officials, ambassadors, journalists, and invited guests.

According to Jordan News Agency, the UAE Embassy’s Chargé d’Affaires in Amman, Counselor Hamad Al-Matrooshi, in his speech, lauded the bilateral relations, attributing their strength to the dedication of both nations’ leaderships. He highlighted the close cooperation and alignment of visions and policies between the two countries, emphasizing their shared commitment to resolving issues through dialogue and diplomacy. Regular consultations between leaders and officials of both nations have ensured comprehensive coordination at the highest levels.

Al-Matrooshi noted that the UAE ranks among Jordan’s most significant trade partners, with
annual non-oil trade exceeding $4 billion. Additionally, the UAE is the largest foreign investor in Jordan, with mutual investments surpassing $22 billion.

He also highlighted the UAE’s domestic and international achievements and its progress across various sectors.

On the sidelines of the celebration, an exhibition was held featuring several UAE companies operating in Jordan. Emirati and Jordanian companies participating in the event were honored, and renowned poets from both nations performed verses celebrating the UAE’s achievements and its ties with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
