Two earthquakes hit northern Nablus

Amman, The Jordan Seismological Observatory (JSO) at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources on Wednesday evening recorded two earthquakes measuring 3.4 and 2.6 on the Richter scale north of Nablus in Palestine.

JSO President Ghassan Sweidan said the first earthquake measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale, recorded at 5:58 pm Amman time, occurred at a depth of 1 kilometer, and the second had a magnitude of 2.6 on the Richter scale, at 6:07 pm, at a depth of 1 kilometer.

He added that the two earthquakes occurred at the Al-Fara’a / Al Karmel, Palestine fault.
