Istanbul: Trkiye’s benchmark stock index, the BIST 100, concluded Thursday’s trading session at 10,628.6 points, reflecting a decrease of 0.11%.
According to Anadolu Agency, the index began the day at 10,675.39 points, marking a loss of 12.23 points from the previous day’s closing. Throughout the trading day, the index reached a low of 10,581.02 and climbed to a high of 10,714.68.
The market capitalization of the BIST 100 stood at approximately 9.94 trillion Turkish liras, equivalent to $235.7 billion, with a trading volume reaching 117 billion liras, or $2.76 billion. Out of the stocks listed, 49 experienced gains, while 45 saw declines compared to the previous close.
In the commodities market, gold was priced at $4,209.80 per ounce, and Brent crude oil was being sold at $62.95 per barrel as of 7.10 pm local time (1610GMT). Meanwhile, in currency trading, the exchange rates for the US dollar, euro, and British pound against the Turkish lira were 42.2530, 49.3020, and 55.9060 liras, respectively.
