Training workshop for local authority leaders and development work team in Marib province


A training workshop was held in Marib province for local authority leaders and the development work team, to develop and activate cooperative work, organized by the local authority in the province.

The workshop, which comes within the framework of implementing leadership priorities and activating and developing cooperative work, aimed to provide 28 participants from district directors and the development work team with knowledge about the mechanism of action of the national vision for developing and activating cooperative work and community initiatives in villages and isolation areas and forming cooperative societies on sound foundations.

The workshop participants received information about the mechanisms for implementing the leadership’s priorities and including them in the general plans in the districts.

In the workshop, the governor’s deputy and head of the Ma’rib Agricultural Committee, Daris Al-Mawadhi, pointed out the importance of coordination and integration of efforts to achieve the desired goals
in activating cooperative work and community initiatives, especially in light of the current conditions that the country is going through… stressing the necessity of translating the workshop’s outcomes in the field.

In turn, the governorate’s public mobilization official, Ali Al-Hamzi, stressed the importance of field visits to activate the work of cooperatives and associations, implement initiatives and raise community awareness of the dangers of aggression, and the importance of mobilization to confront it.

While the Director of the Social Affairs Office in the governorate, Hussein Abunab, touched on the role of associations in improving the agricultural situation and achieving self-sufficiency, indicating that the workshop comes in implementation of the outcomes of the senior leadership workshop for development partners that was held in Sana’a Governorate.
