Thousands of Palestinians Attend Friday Prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque Despite Restrictions

Jerusalem: Despite the limitations imposed by Israeli occupation forces in occupied Jerusalem, tens of thousands of worshipers performed Friday prayers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

According to Jordan News Agency, Palestinian media sites reported that the Islamic Waqf Department in Jerusalem confirmed the attendance of tens of thousands of worshipers.

Dozens of young men were forced to worship in Al-Ghazali Square, near the Lions’ Gate, as Israeli police blocked their path to Al-Aqsa. In an effort to stop worshipers on their way to the mosque and verify their identity, Israeli forces erected dozens of metal barricades around the Old City and the Al-Aqsa Mosque area.
