The governorate of Taif will witness the commencement of the general assemblies of the International Camel Racing Federation (ICRF), the Asian Camel Racing Federation, the European Camel Ranch Owners Association, and the African Camel Racing Federation, in addition to the holding of the first meeting of the Executive Office of the ICRF.
Over the course of two days, these events will be attended by representatives from more than 50 countries and international sports organizations.
These successive meetings will include the election of the President of the Executive Office of the ICRF and the selection of nine members to serve on the Executive Office.
Moreover, the general assembly of the Arab Union for Camel Racing presided over by Prince Fahd bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, is set to convene next Tuesday. The assembly will be attended by members of the Union’s Executive Office and representatives from the member associations within the Arab Union.
The agenda of the assembly will include the approval of new associations for membership in the Union, the endorsement of the draft regulations, the proposal for the inaugural Arabian Camel Cup Championship, the presentation of a proposal to include camel racing as part of the sports program for the 16th Arab Games scheduled to be held in Saudi Arabia in 2027, and the project for the Arab Union’s calendar of events.
