Statement from Royal Protocol on 75th Independence Day celebrations

Royal Protocol at the Royal Hashemite Court, on Monday, released the following statement on the celebrations of the 75th Independence Day, which will take place on Tuesday:

“Royal Protocol at the Royal Hashemite Court announces that celebrations will take place on Tuesday marking the 75th Independence Day of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, which coincides with the state’s centennial.

Jordanians have always been keen on annually marking this occasion with pride, in recognition of its importance and symbolism in the journey of progress and achievement. This year’s celebration will include measures to safeguard public health, with a limited number of invitees and shorter segments.

During the ceremony, a group of Jordanians who have contributed over the past 100 years to building and advancing Jordanian institutions in various sectors will be honoured. In addition, more Jordanians will be honoured on several upcoming national occasions throughout the year, in recognition of their efforts, achievements, and sacrifices.

Royal Protocol extends congratulations on this occasion to Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al Abdullah, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, and to the Jordanian people, praying that God protects Jordan and its people, and advance the Kingdom’s journey towards further development and prosperity.”
