Amman: The Social Security Corporation (SSC) has announced the allocation of 137 work-related death pensions for the year 2024, bringing the total number of such pensions to 4,271.
According to Jordan News Agency, the SSC highlighted that the work-related injury insurance and benefits do not require specific subscription periods for eligibility. An SSC-insured individual can access these benefits from the first day of employment, as long as the injury is verified by the corporation.
The SSC explained that the pension allocated to eligible heirs is calculated at 75% of the covered wage at the time of the injury. The corporation also provides an overall increase of 40% to the post-death payments and offers a funeral expense allowance of JD700.
