Aqaba:Organizers have announced that preparations for the 15th edition of the Special Operations Forces Exhibition and Conference (SOFEX 2026) are complete. The event is set to take place from October 27-29 at the Aqaba International Exhibition and Convention Center.
According to Jordan News Agency, SOFEX 2026 is held under the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II and is expected to draw over 25,000 specialized visitors, more than 400 official delegations from over 75 countries, and more than 350 exhibiting companies from over 35 countries. Some companies will be participating for the first time.
The exhibition is dedicated to special operations forces, defense equipment, and security technologies, bringing together government officials, military representatives, defense industry leaders, and technology developers. It is the only exhibition of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa focused solely on special operations forces and equipment.
SOFEX Chairman Ayman Batran stated that the exhibition serves as a platform for governments, armed forces, defense and security companies, and innovators to exchange expertise and explore new technologies. It also aims to foster partnerships and enhance dialogue on emerging security challenges.
Batran emphasized the growing importance of cross-border cooperation in addressing international defense and security priorities. This year's edition will concentrate on strategic partnerships and technological advancements, contributing to Jordan's position as a regional hub for defense and security cooperation and supporting Aqaba's development as a logistics and international exhibition center.
