Amman:The Social Security Corporation (SSC) has reported a 4.2% increase in the number of active insured individuals by the end of October. This growth was highlighted in a recent press release issued by the SSC.
According to Jordan News Agency, the SSC revealed that the number of active insured workers rose to 1.713 million at the end of October, compared to approximately 1.643 million during the same period last year. This marks an increase of 69,560 individuals.
The SSC attributed this increase to targeted measures designed to expand social protection coverage across various employment sectors and business establishments. These initiatives included expanding digital data integration with government bodies, incorporating migrant workers, monitoring active sole proprietorships, and increasing field inspections to ensure compliance with social security registration laws.
Furthermore, the SSC emphasized its ongoing commitment to field inspection campaigns, which aim to verify working conditions and ensure that all eligible workers are enrolled. These efforts are intended to safeguard labor rights and enhance legal compliance across the kingdom.
