Amman: The Social Security Corporation (SSC) and the Nashama Forum for Jordanian Diaspora convened their annual meeting on Monday to address the needs of Jordanians living abroad and to discuss strategies for improving their access to social security benefits.
According to Jordan News Agency, SSC Director General Hazim Rahahleh emphasized the corporation's dedication to keeping communication lines open with expatriate communities. He highlighted efforts to simplify subscription payments and improve the accessibility of benefit tracking for Jordanians living outside the country.
Forum founder Ayman Rifai presented several significant proposals aimed at tackling the unique challenges faced by Jordanian expatriates. These suggestions included the development of installment plans for merging civil and military service periods, the introduction of simplified payment options, the creation of specialized educational resources, and the establishment of dedicated communication channels between the corporation and expatriate representatives.
Rahahleh confirmed that the SSC will examine these proposals with the aim of enhancing social protection for Jordanians abroad. He also announced that new communication mechanisms will soon be implemented to boost awareness of social security laws and benefits.
The Nashama Forum commended the collaborative partnership with the SSC and expressed their commitment to supporting future awareness initiatives across international communities.
