Amman: Minister of Social Development Wafa Bani Mustafa on Tuesday evening attended a charity iftar for orphans from ministry-affiliated centers and the Hussein Camp Association for Orphans and the Needy. The event was organized by Joramco’s community committee.
According to Jordan News Agency, the initiative is part of the ministry’s activities during the holy month of Ramadan, in collaboration with private sector partners, volunteer organizations, and charitable associations. Bani Mustafa highlighted that such initiatives reflect the spirit of social solidarity in Jordanian society, bringing joy to orphans and reinforcing values of compassion and brotherhood. She praised the private sector’s engagement in supporting the ministry’s efforts.
She also underscored the importance of volunteer initiatives focused on orphaned children, especially during Ramadan. Hana Ibsais, Joramco’s Chief People and Performance Officer, and Rym Adwan, Director of the Haya Cultural Center, commended the ministry’s cooperation in organizing events that benefit orphaned children.
At the conclusion of the iftar, which featured various activities, Bani Mustafa distributed gifts to the attending orphans.
