Shura Council Speaker Arrives in Jordan on Official Visit


Amman, The Speaker of the Shura Council, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh, has arrived in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on an official visit. He is leading a delegation from the council in response to an invitation from the Speaker of the Lower House of Jordan, Ahmed Al-Safadi.

Upon his arrival at Queen Alia International Airport in the capital, Amman, he was received by the Speaker of the Lower House of Jordan, Ahmed Al-Safadi, the Saudi Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Jordan, Naif bin Bandar Al-Sudairi, and several senior officials in the Jordanian Lower House.

The Speaker of the Shura Council recently issued a press statement praising the progress and cooperation between the Kingdom and Jordan in various fields. He emphasized the two leaderships’ keenness to strengthen and consolidate their fraternal relations. The ultimate goal is to meet the aspirations of the two countries and their brotherly peoples.

The speaker also highlighted the Shura Council’s critical role in streng
thening relations between Saudi Arabia and other friendly countries through parliamentary diplomacy. The council seeks to establish bridges that strengthen relationships, clarify viewpoints, and highlight the Kingdom’s positions on various issues and events.

During his visit to Jordan, the Speaker of the Shura Council will hold a joint meeting with the Lower House of Jordan Speaker. The meeting will focus on enhancing cooperation in parliamentary fields, unifying efforts by coordinating common positions and visions in regional and international forums and platforms, and strengthening dialogue and parliamentary cooperation mechanisms. Additionally, he will meet with the Jordanian Speaker of the Senate, Faisal bin Akef Al-Fayez, as well as several Senate officials and other senior officials in Jordan.
