Amman: On the occasion of the new Hijri year, Senate Speaker Faisal Al Fayez greeted Jordanians, Arab and Islamic countries, His Majesty King Abdullah II, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II. He highlighted the King’s efforts in embodying the principles of the Prophet’s migration, emphasizing values such as love, brotherhood, freedom, and social justice, while rejecting racism and extremism. According to Jordan News Agency, Al Fayez described the Prophet’s migration as a pivotal moment in Islamic history, underscoring the virtues of sacrifice and steadfastness. He stated that these lessons empower the nation to face challenges and build communities grounded in the ideals of Islamic civilization and tolerant faith, supported by strong foundations. Al Fayez stressed the importance of social cohesion and solidarity to overcome obstacles facing the country and its citizens. He further noted that the principles and values represented by the migration align with the Amman Message, which King Abdullah II has shared globally. This message calls for followers of divine religions to reject hatred and extremism, and to foster a society characterized by love, tolerance, acceptance, compassion, moderation, and shared interests.
