Senate committee meets Lebanese Chargé d’Affairs over enhancing ties, cooperation

The Senate’s Jordanian-Lebanese Brotherhood Committee, headed by Mazen Saket, on Wednesday, discussed with Chargé d’Affairs at Lebanese Embassy, Youssef Emile Raji, ways to strengthen bilateral relations.

Lauding level of “historic” Jordanian-Lebanese relations, Saket stressed the importance of developing ties at all fields and maintaining joint coordination and consultation on various issues of mutual concern.

Saket also referred to Jordan’s stances, under His Majesty King Abdullah II’s leadership, to support Lebanon’s issues and needs to achieve stability and unity.

For his part, the Lebanese diplomat lauded Jordan’s role in the region and its support for Lebanon to overcome its challenges, especially after Beirut port explosion.

Raji also stressed the importance to strengthen joint cooperation relations in various fields, especially in parliamentary areas, to face common challenges.
