Riyadh: Seven new Saudi relief trucks crossed the Rafah border crossing today, carrying food aid provided by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) on their way to the Gaza Strip. This initiative is part of the Saudi popular campaign to aid the Palestinian people in the Strip.
According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the center has been active in its support efforts, operating both an airlift and a sealift. So far, 58 aircraft and eight ships have transported a total cargo of 8 tons, which includes shelter, medical, and food supplies. Additionally, 7,188 ambulances have been delivered to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society.
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center has also entered into agreements with international organizations to fund relief projects in the Gaza Strip, with a total value of $90 million. Furthermore, in cooperation with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the center has initiated an airdrop operation to deliver essential food aid to those affected in the Gaza Strip, aiming to alleviate the effects of the region’s border closures.
