Sanad Youth Association Represents Jordan at Arab Sustainable Development Week.

CAIRO: The Sanad Association for Youth Thought and Action (Sanad Youth) actively participated in the 5th Arab Sustainable Development Week, held from November 24 to 27. The event, organized by the Arab League in partnership with the United Nations, the European Union, the World Bank, and other collaborators, was aimed at exploring sustainable solutions under the theme “Resilience and Capability in a Developing Arab World.”

According to Jordan News Agency, Sultan Khalayleh, Chairperson of Sanad Youth, stressed the association’s commitment to fostering an environment that promotes volunteerism and youth empowerment. He noted that Sanad Youth’s participation underscores its dedication to a cohesive Arab vision for sustainability and the pursuit of a prosperous future.

Khalayleh highlighted the pivotal role of volunteer work in strengthening national identity and resilience. He discussed how it connects youth to societal issues and boosts their loyalty to their homeland. Khalayleh also emphasized the necessity
of integrating youth into decision-making processes, which can enhance their leadership skills and equip societies to tackle challenges effectively.

He acknowledged the support of the Jordanian Embassy in Cairo and commended their efforts in facilitating the successful participation of Jordanian youth in more than 30 sessions and roundtable discussions throughout the event.

The 5th Arab Sustainable Development Week was inaugurated under the patronage of the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, who represented Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
