Amman: Lower House Speaker, Ahmad Safadi, affirmed Jordan’s keenness, under His Majesty King Abdullah II’s leadership, to achieve Iraq’s unity and stability.
Jordan, he noted, will maintain support to Iraq in its endeavors to restore its natural regional status and role.
During his meeting on Wednesday with a delegation from Iraq’s Kurdistan Parliament, headed by Chairman of its Finance Committee, Ziyad Jabbar, Safadi noted Jordan and Iraq form “a depth for each other,” adding that Iraq and Jordan security is complementary and Iraq’s stability is key to the region’s.
For his part, Jabbar said Kurdistan values the King’s role, who always exerts efforts to achieve the region’s security and stability and provide support and assistance to Iraq in various difficult situations.
Meanwhile, Jordan’s House Finance Committee head, MP Nimr Sulaihat, stressed its keenness to provide various forms of cooperation with Iraqi Kurdistan Parliament and exchange expertise to serve mutual interests.
