Madaba: Royal Hashemite Court Chief Yousef Hassan Issawi, who leads the Follow-Up Committee for the Implementation of His Majesty’s Initiatives, embarked on an inspection tour of significant Royal Initiative projects in Madaba Governorate. These projects are designed to enhance public services, empower local communities, and foster sustainable development throughout the Kingdom.
According to Jordan News Agency, Issawi, during his visit to Madaba city, received updates on the progress of a project aimed at rehabilitating the legal playground adjacent to Madaba Secondary School for Boys. Project officials confirmed that work is nearing completion and progressing as planned. This initiative is part of His Majesty King Abdullah II’s directives from his visit to the governorate on April 22 of last year, which included comprehensive maintenance of the school and its playground. The school maintenance was completed by the start of the 2024-2025 academic year, and the playground has been upgraded with new fencing, renovated facilities, and other enhancements to support students and the community.
In the Faisaliah District, Issawi assessed the progress of a factory for medical supplies and clothing, established under the Productive Branches Initiative. The factory, a collaboration with the Medical Solutions Company, was launched following an agreement with the Ministry of Labor. Issawi toured the 2,500-square-meter facility, where construction and equipment installation have concluded. Local residents have been trained to operate the factory, which is projected to create 150 jobs in its first year. Factory owner Radwan Khattab explained the production stages, capacity, and future expansion plans.
The factory aims to bolster the national medical manufacturing sector, decrease import dependence, and provide employment for local youth. Currently, 70 individuals, primarily from the area, are in training for future roles. As the first facility of its kind in Jordan, the factory will feature 15 production lines and 150 sewing machines, producing a variety of medical consumables for both domestic use and export.
In his press remarks, Issawi emphasized that these projects align with His Majesty King Abdullah II’s vision of launching initiatives that improve citizens’ quality of life, generate employment, and drive sustainable development across all governorates. He highlighted that Royal Initiative projects are executed under His Majesty’s direct guidance, responding to citizens’ needs expressed during his visits and meetings with local leaders. Issawi also stressed the importance of ongoing follow-up on these projects in collaboration with relevant ministries to ensure completion to the highest standards and within set timelines.
