Irbid: Chief of the Royal Hashemite Court and head of the committee overseeing the implementation of His Majesty King Abdullah II's initiatives, Yousef Issawi, conducted an extensive field inspection of Royal Initiative projects in Irbid Governorate, in line with Royal directives from meetings with local residents.
According to Jordan News Agency, the tour began in the Northern Mazar District, where Issawi reviewed Deir Yousef Park, a community-based recreational project aimed at enhancing public amenities and expanding accessible green spaces. Issawi inspected the park's facilities, including a football field, playgrounds, and service facilities, while receiving a detailed briefing on the park's operational model and maintenance framework. He emphasized that Royal directives focus on institutionalized management and sustainability to ensure long-term impact beyond infrastructure delivery, highlighting effective governance and citizen satisfaction.
Issawi also examined housing units in Deir Yousef allocated to low-income families under previous Royal Initiatives, reviewing living conditions and support mechanisms. In Taybeh, he checked on the progress of constructing 15 housing units for low-income families, part of a program aiming to deliver 1,300 units across various regions. The project, utilizing prefabricated constructions for efficiency, has reached 70 percent completion, with Issawi stressing adherence to technical specifications and timelines.
In the Houfa area of Wastiya District, Issawi inspected the 65 percent complete Houfa Basic Mixed School project. The project includes classrooms, kindergarten rooms, a science lab, and other facilities, launched to expand educational infrastructure in underserved areas. Issawi underscored the importance of sustained field monitoring of Royal Initiative projects to ensure adherence to engineering standards and to enhance service delivery and development outcomes for local communities.
